Re: Update for the 2009 season
Hello all,
Well its that time
of year again (but you wouldn't know it if you were
outside today) where we are gearing up for our track
season. Fred, Eileen, Mary Lou, Mac, Mike, and myself
met last night to discuss our up coming season.
Please read the following very important information:
1. Fee for 2009 will
be $150. This includes funds to pay for defibulator and
replace some equipment. If defibulator grant is
forthcoming, funds will be replaced to account and next
year's fee would reflect the refund.
2. If Fred and Jim do not
get some help with officiating meets, particularly a new
starter or two, and a head
finish
line official it is possible that we would have
to pay two officials for some meets. If this would be
the case the SITA fee will be raised to $200.00 which
would be a of $50.00 increase.
3.
The mandatory coaches meeting is
Wednesday, March 18th, 6:30 PM at Hoak's on the
Lake.
4.
Black out dates are due
to Mike Fitz (mfitz2525@yahoo.com)
by Friday, February 13,
2008 (NO EXCEPTIONS). One blackout date will
be honored, a second can be submitted but is not
guaranteed. Please do not submit more than 2 dates.
5. If any coaches are
not returning
please forward this info to the new coach or school.
Ask new coaches to reply to this e-mail with e-mail
address, , school, name and phone number ASAP.
6. Meets will begin
on Wednesday, April 22, 2009.
7. Tentative Championship
dates are
May 16, 17 and 18.

for all further information

It is updated as soon as we have new information.
9. We are looking into
utilizing the new
Canisius High School track due to the
availability of Orchard Park, East Aurora, and St
Francis.
10. The all SITA meet this
year will consist of the TOP 3 finishers from the
championship relays and field events. The top 4 will be
taken for sprints!
11. Bubble gum relay
ribbons will be handed out at the finish line, not at
the scoring table!
We look forward to seeing
all our old friends and many new ones for the upcoming
season. Hope your all doing well and see you
on MARCH 18TH, 2009 @ 6:30PM at Hoak's.
